Get Picky Sketch #17

I've turned this sketch a little bit and I do intend to use it again for another page, it's a great sketch and very useful for three photos or two with a journal block.
I've used Three Bugs in a Rug paper, American Craft alpha, Ranger liquid pearls, Heidi Grace ribbon and I've handmade a couple of flowers.

Creative Scrappers Sketch #194

I've used Kaisercraft Konstrukt paper for this LO.  I handmade the lollipop flowers, distressed and inked the edges before inserting a brad and twine for the stems.  On the main flower I plaited the twine for a thicker looking stem. The title and journaling are done on the computer and I wanted to highlight certain pics and the title so I matted them on glossy white paper and used mounting squares to give them a bit of lift.

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

On 22 February it was Baden Powell Day, he was the founder of the Scouting movement and his sister Agnes was the founder of the Girl Guide movement.  This is my take on Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge, the challenge prompted me to look through my old photos and even though they were about 25 years old I decided to have a go at scrapping my daughter when she was in Brownies and also my son in Cubs.  I've only finished this one at the moment but intend to do more.  I've used some of the badges on this page along with an old doily, Dusty Attic chipboard frame, flowers, feathers, brad and American Craft and Carolee's Creations alphas.

My Little Bit of Whimsy Challenge

I try to get a photo of my grandchildren every Christmas Day, it shows how they change from year to year and especially now that some of them are teenagers.   I used Making Memories paper, Tim Holtz Liquid Pearls (have just found these and love them), Kindyglitz, Sizzix number and Krylon 'make it stone' spray for the outer edges of the LO, a bit of stitching, distressing and cutting. The photo is appearing a bit dark and I'm not sure why, maybe I should've used different papers???

Fun with Numbers

A fun photo opportunity is coming up on the 21st February.  The numbers of the date, 21/02/2012 read the same backwards.  This happened on 01/02/2010 and I scrapped a page of a 'selfie' photo.  The photo isn't so good but we had fun taking it and talking about the day.

Bird is the Word February Challenge

This is my take on the February Challenge.  I finally started our travel album once I saw the sketch, I think I will use it again as it works well for multiple photos
