Kraft it Up July Challenge

This months challenge was something you wish or want in the future.  This is my take on it and it was so hard to find a photo with me and my two children because I'm always on the other end of the camera.  And now for a few close-ups.

To achieve the result on the flourish I painted it with Gesso then added ground rock salt and finally inked it with Distress Ink.  I saw a fabulous tutorial by Michelle Grant over at Dusty Attic so I followed part of it, Michelle's technique is very clever and the results look amazing.

Frosted Designs Stamping Challenge

I saw a great idea demonstrated on Scrap it TV and thought I would have a go and create some cards with the same technique but different colours and some different stamps.  I've used Kaisercraft stamps, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Stampin' Up! Ink and sentiment stamps.
Thanks to Lizzy Hill http://lizzyhill12.blogspot.com.au/ for suggesting I enter Frosted Designs Challenge.

Vintage Cards

I've just made these vintage cards that I saw demonstrated on Scrap it TV.  They're made with Kaisercraft Stamps, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Stampin'Up! sentiment stamps and vintage paper from a children's book.

Changing Styles

I wanted to share this page with you because I love the Graphic 45 paper and also the photo of 'my girl' when she was only two years old.  I tend to adjust my scrapping style to fit either the challenge, photo or my mood.  I haven't entered this in a challenge but may find one to suit one day.

Once Upon a Sketch July Challenge

This is a photo of my girlfriend of 40years, we met at work and have been friends ever since.  The paper I've used is DCWV Street Lace that another friend of mine bought me back from the UK.  Here are a couple of close-ups.
I made these lovely little satin flowers and the birdcage is from Kaisercraft.  I used Tim Holtz crackle paint before I applied perfect pearls to the cage and the little bird is from ScrapFX and I inked it before applying Tattered Angels Glimmermist.  The little roses are also misted and there's a handmade pin tucked in with the roses.
The black lace and pendant as well as the tiny birds were a gift from the lovely Amy, aren't they gorgeous?  Thanks for visiting...
