Scrappy Friends - Grateful

If you haven't already why not take a peek at Scrappy Friends Challenge, they have three different things for you to enter or combine all three.  They will appear at the end of my post.
Here's my entry.

I went a little vintage because the photo is about 50 years old.  I loved using the gold and I used my silhouette machine and Big Shot to cut all of the pieces and also some gold embossing on the background.  I've also included the three patterned papers so you can see I used the right hand side of the 'Tic Tac Toe' board.

I also loved the colours and thought they worked well in a vintage style layout (so soft and pretty) as well as the sketch.
Thanks for visiting today.

Show Us Your Stuff - Best Buddies

My layout for Show Us Your Stuff is from their fabulous sketch this month, again I've rotated to suit my photos.  I've used Fancy Pants Designs True Friends patterned paper collection and I love the range, if you can get the pack that includes alphas etc you wont be sorry.

My photos were a little shiny and it didn't matter what I did the one on the left still flared slightly.

The challenge rule is to have a handmade embellishment on your project and it can be made by you or someone else, mine are handmade flairs by me, I'll show a close-up of two of them near my heat embossed cogs.  The larger one at the top of the page is made with the Epiphany Tool.
I also used some Kaisercraft stick-ons and D-Lish Scraps coated wire along with my dry and heat embossed cogs because when these two get together you can almost see the cogs turning over wondering what they might do next!!!

Scrap the Girls - So Happy

Scrap the Girls have a great sketch this month and I've rotated the sketch to suit my photo.  I've used Teresa Collins Nine & Co. patterned paper with my white cardstock.

Some of the products I used were WOW chipboard, D-Lish Scraps embellishments, Brilliance Ink, Heidi Swapp Color Shine, Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray, the Crafter's Workshop Script stencil and Inka Gold.

White with One - Love

The challenge at White With One is in collaboration with Sketchabilities this month.  The sketch is a beauty and the colour is Placid Blue. My photography and lighting leaves a bit to be desired, think I'd love a lighting tent!!!
Here's my layout - 'Love'.

I love those circle chippies, they're Dusty Attic and they've been heat embossed, other embellishments on the page are from D-lish scraps and flowers I think are Green Tara.

ARTastic January Challenge - Superhero

Gosh I've just seen how long it is since I posted - better up my game this year.
This is my take on the ARTastic challenge of some street art by Fintan Magee who is an Australian street artist known for his murals throughout Queensland and later in New South Wales.
The little superheros inspired me and reminded me of the time my grandson was little and decided to dress up with all the different hats he had, he thought he was some type of superhero.

I had to leave a border because my cardstock buckled quite badly and wouldn't lay flat for the photo.
I've used a stencil with Faber Castell Whipped Spackle coloured with Lindy's Stamp Gang mist before using a background stamp to match the little man's jacket. There's some DustyAttic chipboard chevrons coloured with Brilliance ink, paint splatts with Lindy's and some gorgeous American Crafts Thickers alphas for the title.

Here's the photo that we used for inspiration.
