ARTastic - Brothers United

I posted this layout on fb a week ago and completely forgot to create the post for ARTastic.
I must have been having a senior's moment I think!!!
The challenge is all about backgrounds and that's what I concentrated on with this layout, even preparing it before I'd chosen the photo.

I've used a fabulous ScrapFx alpha stencil along with some stamping and embossing with Stampendous Embossing Powder (I love it a lot).  Also on this layout is some 2Crafty chipboard embossed with the same powder and a gorgeous Charms Creations Handmade Star.

Here's the inspiration photo from ARTastic.

Berry71Bleu - You Are My Sunshine

Wow this was a nice bright colour mood board at Berry71Bleu and I had just the right paper.

The patterns on my page were inspired by a dress I saw on a news reporter on the TV.

I've used the sewing machine for the borders on all the pieces and I scratched around the photo with the Prima Distress Tool (I love that tool a lot).

Here's the fabulous mood board from Berry71Bleu

I even used the words for my title.

Off the Rails (Kid Goat)

Off the Rails have a fabulous sketch and mood board this month with an ideal opportunity to use one or both.  I flipped the sketch and only used one large photo and loved the colours on the mood board but only used a couple and I just had to include a butterfly.  I also decided not to use a title.

Here are a couple of close-ups.

Kaisercraft - Unique

I entered the Kaisercraft challenge this month as they have a great sketch to use. I used paper from the Chase Rainbows Collection and also fussy cut some butterflies form the 6X6 paper pad.  You might also notice the little pearls that I found in my stash and some of the collectables.  It's always handy to purchase the matching paper pads and collectables, that way the matching has been done for you.

Here's the Sketch.

Scrapbook Boutique & Challenge YOUrself #21 - Keep Calm and be Creative

I've combined two challenges with this page because I was inspired to use my newly purchased 'Prills' when I saw the Inspiration photo from Scrapbook Boutique and the quote is a beauty from Challenge YOUrself.
I used some older papers from my stash along with the newer product 'Prills'.
Thanks challenge yourself for making me scrap a photo of myself.

Below is the inspiration photo from Scrapbook Boutique.

Anna's Craft Cupboard - Explore

I love the colours, sketch and mood board over at Anna's Craft Cupboard this month and as I haven't done many challenges lately thought this would be a good one to get back into it.

and here's the challenge

Kraft Plus - #Cousins.

The challenge at Kraft Plus is to use zentangling on your layout and as I've never done this before thought I'd give it a go.  I traced around a stencil and then doodled inside it, I also chose some embellishments that also had a small pattern on them. I've also used a little bit of colour to relate the zentangle to the photo.

Here's the challenge mood board.

I wish I was as good as the above!!!!!
